OBITUARY Frontman Says Live DVD 'Looks Killer'
October 3, 2006OBITUARY frontman John Tardy has posted the following message on the group's official web site:
"Thanks to Mark Prator for all his help with the new DVD! It really came out sounding great! We also saw the video and it looks killer! We will make a couple of small changes, but it really looks awesome! I am still not exactly sure when it will be available, but I will find out and let you all know.
"It is not 100% confirmed yet, but it looks like we might be making a trip down to Mexico to play the Monterrey Metal Fest. We have been trying to get down to Mexico, but it just hasn't worked out, so we are excited about this trip. If this pans out, I will get all the information about the show and let you know!"
As previously reported, OBITUARY has set "Frozen Alive" as the title of its first-ever live DVD, which was shot on August 24 at the Stodola Club in Warsaw, Poland. The group's setlist was as follows:

The DVD will include a seven-camera shoot of the show plus an interview conducted the day before the gig, on August 23. A November release as a regular DVD and limited edition DVD+CD via Metal Mind Productions is expected.
OBITUARY's latest CD, "Frozen in Time", was released in July 2005 via Roadrunner Records. The group's first collection of new songs since 1997's "Back from the Dead" was self-produced by the band, with Mark Prator and Scott Burns engineering, and was mastered by Tom Morris at Morrisound.
